WELCOME to the completely renovated holiday chalet "De Wijze Uil" in 2023
The chalet is located on the Recreation Park "De Ossenberg" in Overberg (near Amerongen and Veenendaal).
The quiet location of the chalet in the middle of "De Utrechtse Heuvelrug" offers many opportunities to relax and recreate in and around the woods.
For the children there is a lot to do in the park and in the area, such as: football, tennis, swimming and the playground. You can enjoy shopping and going out in Veenendaal and Ede. Walking, cycling, MTB, tennis and swimming are possible on and from the park.
There are many nice tourist attractions and points of interest nearby. The chalet has a spacious living area of 60 m2 and is suitable for 4 persons. You must bring your own towels and kitchen linen. The chalet is equipped with a modern complete kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, kettle, filter coffee machine, large fridge with freezer compartment and an extra large 6-burner stove with oven. The bathroom has underfloor heating. You park your car on the lot in front of the chalet. In the high season it cannot be booked for a weekend or midweek, but in consultation from Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday, please send an email if you have any questions.

Tip: Ideal for dog owners, our chalet can also be rented if you have 1 (max. 2) pet(s). The cottage is ideally located against the DOG RUN AREA at the foot of the Amerongseberg in the National Park De Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You walk from the chalet directly into the woods where your dog (s) can run / walk freely. A pleasant stay for you, especially for your dog(s).
Tip: Ideal for MTB enthusiasts The chalet is ideally located near the MTB route at the foot of the Amerongseberg in the National Park De Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You cycle directly from the chalet onto the MTB route. These are one of the most beautiful (and sportiest) mountain bike routes in the Netherlands with a total length of approx. 40 km. There are currently 4 MTB routes connected to each other.
Tip: Ideal for (E-bike) cyclists, directly from the park you can choose to make several beautiful cycling routes. You can make good use of the many cycling routes in the area. In the vicinity of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug you can cycle nicely through the woods and, for example, along the lakes in Leersum. Every day there is a nice different tour to cycle.
