During the summer, thousands of people would descend on the fields around Faversham, put up their tents and spend the days "hop picking", thus making this one of the best places to enjoy a pint or two! Faversham is proud of its history and the town is even named in the Domesday Book and with its cobbled streets and medieval houses, tiny quaint pubs and many listed buildings, this town enjoys remembering its fascinating history. For those looking to experience the outdoor life, Faversham has more than enough to keep you entertained, why not take a swim in one of the all-year-round swimming pools? For those who want to explore even further afield then why not sail away on a ferry or travel on the Channel Tunnel, either way you can be in France or Belgium in time for lunch and back in time for tea!
