Summary: Firstly, staff were really fantastic! So welcoming and helpful, and we’re willing to change our room at the last minute. Even gave us a complimentary drink each! Secondly, this is a BUDGET hotel, so don’t imagine that it’s going to be impressive. Having said that, the beds were clean and comfortable, the room was warm, the bathrooms were clean, and to stay for one night was totally fine. I would definitely stay the night here again if I needed a cheap stay. Things to note: Because this is over a pub, there will be music playing until late. The rooms are not soundproof, so you can hear what’s going on in the hallways clearly and also above you. The doors slam a lot as people go in and out too. The blinds aren’t blackout, so light does come through. There is no kettle in the room, no hair dryer, things like this. Just towels, hand soap and shower gel. There was a bright green light on the ceiling for a smoke detector or something. Not great while sleeping.
