Summary: Honestly, for the price, this place probably can't be beat. Our host was kind and generous. The cottage is small, but cozy. We loved the realistic looking fire glow in the lounge, and loved having the second bedroom that is converted to a dressing room- a great place to keep your cases and such out of the way and organized! The garden is very nice, with a bench you can easily move to follow the sun or shade, and has an obstructed but still lovely view to Holy Isle. Lamlash is a short and beautiful walk away, with fantastic views over the bay and to Holy Isle. Our favorite shoreline view on the whole Island! There we found two fantastic beer gardens and restaurants; The Drift Inn and Glenisle Hotel. The main sticking point for us was that the cottage is within the host's back garden, which for some will be fine. But we never feel quite comfortable in that situation; we didn’t quite feel like we had the privacy we would have preferred. So, if you are like us, take note.
