The mountains were once black with coal dust. but now they are covered in lush greenery and trees. there are many trails open to the public to explore the beauty and peacefulness of the mountains and forestry, The nearby town of Maesteg with its many supermarkets, shops, bars, and restaurants.

The cycle track can be accessed Through the bike shed.
