Our beautiful, warm, safe home (built in 1890, renovated in 2017) is in the UNESCO World Heritage village of Saltaire (only 17 mins to Leeds).
Guests who stay with us want to improve their English. And feel more confident living in the UK. They visit the UK to work or study in or near Leeds or Bradford.
Our guests are international students, university professors, interns, language assistants...
They stay from a few nights, to a full academic year!

You will like the village we live in and the surrounding area because it is very pretty, and traditional of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
Nearby are nice cafes, bars and restaurants. It is also close to Leeds and Bradford - very easy to get to class or work (unlimited train & bus pass costs £26 / week).
We love the outdoors. We go walking, running and mountain biking in the hills near home, surfing on the coast, and visit cities, mountains, lakes, coast often. We often take our guests with us.
We speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and I speak a little French, and we love trying the languages of people who stay with us.

BREAKFAST (everyday) & DINNER (Sunday - Thursday) ARE INCLUDED IN THE ROOM PRICE.
On Friday & Saturday night, our guests often prepare their own food in our kitchen, eat out with friends, or have a takeaway.

Booking contract

After you have made your reservation, if your booking is for a stay of 1 month or more, I will send you a contract summarising your arrival & departure date, and the payment amount and payment schedule (which will include a 30% pre-arrival payment) so that you can be confident we have reserved the room for you for your entire stay, and understand how and when to pay (e.g. every month / term)
