The Cormonachan woodland walk runs behind the property and Carrick Castle is along at the end of the road (2.3 miles). The area is rich in wildlife – red squirrels, pine marten, otters, red deer, and badgers are common, as well as eagles and buzzards on the hills. The calm waters of this sea Loch are perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding and you can also hire a boat. Loch Goil is surrounded by many beautiful attractions, such as Inveraray Castle and Jail, Loch Fyne Oysters, Fyne Ales, Benmore Botanic Garden, the Arrochar Alps and the shores of Loch Lomond (all within 20 miles).
