Interior
The house has a large new kitchen equipped with all kitchen facilities, dishwasher, coffee machines and percolators, and opens through double doors directly onto the veranda. The open plan lounge/dining room has french TV, DVD/CD player, a selection of DVDs, free wi-fi, a large table and seating for 8, games & board games, and opens directly onto the garden. There are 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms, all with views of the woods, fitted wardrobes, and portable fans, and all have mosquito blinds for the windows. There are 2 shower rooms and an extra toilet. All towels and bedding are provided.
Exterior
A large natural garden is surrounded by trees giving much privacy, and is perfect for observing birds and local wildlife. A covered veranda leads onto a large elevated terrace, which has child safety fencing and steps into the garden with a child safety gate (if requested), and table and seating for 8 and has shading and night lighting and a gaz plancha. In the garden there is an above ground swimming pool size 6m x 4m with terrace and a picnic table to seat 8 persons. There are also sun lounges, hammocks, giant jenga, boules, swing ball, ping pong, and badminton can also be erected. The utility room houses the fridge freezer and washing machine. Out the front of the house is ample private parking for 4 cars and turning area, and exterior lighting on sensors. EV external charging point (metered tariff applies)
Local area
We are on the border of 3 departments so there are numerous attractions to visit ranging from grottoes, chateaus, markets, and gardens, there are also many activities to take part in like canoeing, horse riding or walking and cycling of which there are some routes direct from the house. There is a local airport at Brive that has links direct to Stansted and Paris. We are only 10 mins from the A20 autoroute, giving the main link north or south.
Neighborhood
We are based in a rural farming community, there are various outlets to buy the local produce of walnut oils and fresh duck selections. There is a local restaurant in Baladou only 2.5km were you can enjoy a evening meal made with local products or relax with a cool drink. Souillac 8km has many shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Martel 7km is a smaller village with an attractive ambiance. The Dordogne river only 15mins away has many beaches and so does Lac du Causse near Brive.

No dogs or cats are allowed as the property does not have any fences, and we are on a walking route. Entry is via a key safe from 16.00. We aim to make our vacation house as safe and enjoyable as possible for our clients and their family and friends.
