The Space:
Upon entering the apartment, you’ll be welcomed into a light open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. With tall ceilings, crisp white walls and adequate lighting, there is an airy feel and a clean finish.
LIVING AREA
The perfect place to relax, the living area has two velvet sofas in a light grey shade. Accents of white are added with the furnishings and the TV unit.
KITCHEN
With clean, dark grey kitchen cabinets and wooden worktops, this space is ultra modern. Fully equipped for all self-catering stays, the kitchen has an oven, hob, toaster, kettle, microwave, washing machine and dryer.
DINING AREA
There is also a cosy dining area, complimented perfectly by four matching stools. With the same cool style as the rest of the apartment, it fits in perfectly whilst also providing a great place to socialise with the rest of your party.
BEDROOM
Head to the first bedroom and you’ll find another modern space. The comfy double bed has a grey headboard and a sleek style. Matching white bedside tables frame the bed and there is space for all of your belongings.
The second bedroom is ideal for children and teenagers, in addition to the single day bed, there is a single trundle bed which can be made up on request, this can increase the occupancy to four. There is ample storage with space to hang your clothes.
All beds at Apartment 1 @ Pete's Retreat boast top of the range Emma mattresses to ensure that you have a great night's sleep.
BATHROOM
As expected, the bathroom is a clean and modern space. With wooden-style tiles it is both stylish and sophisticated. The bathroom includes a bath with overhead an shower, WC and basin.
Pete’s Retreat is home to five separate apartments along Ruby Street with a maximum capacity of 20. If you are looking for a stay for a large group there are often opportunities to rent all five apartments together. Please send us an email with your preferred dates for availability and prices.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Free on street parking is available along the whole of the street and no permit is required.

Apartment 1 @ Pete’s Retreat is located in the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.
Located in the heart of the town, the apartment is only a short walk from the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.
Apartment 1 @ Pete’s Retreat is close to all local amenities including independent shops, bars, restaurants and bistros.
Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and Saltburn is included. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful!
Getting Around:
Apartment 1 @ Pete’s Retreat is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.
Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.
