You will immediately feel at home in this spacious, comfortable apartment. The free parking space and the central, quiet location are a big plus. As are the smooth, fast connections to some of the most beautiful cities in Belgium and Europe. Or to the airport, by car or public transport. Restaurants, parks and shops are all within walking distance.
From our apartment, you can reach the centre of Brussels in 20 minutes (by train). But you can also easily reach other beautiful cities in Belgium via the motorway or public transport.
In summer, you can even take a boat to our capital. Or rent a bike and follow the cycle highway. The airport is also nearby, but you won't be bothered by the planes at all.
We (Gregory and Judith) completely renovated the apartment in early 2024, including air conditioning. We furnished it as if we were going to live there ourselves and thought it was very important that it be cosy and that you feel completely at home. Our own teenagers wanted to move in immediately!
With 100 m², it also feels spacious. You will find all modern comforts, such as a smart TV, a Nespresso coffee machine, an induction hob, fibre internet, a washing machine, a rain shower, an iron... On colder days, you can snuggle up on the sofa with a blanket and a cup of coffee or tea, and on sunny days, you can enjoy a refreshing drink in the sunshine on the balcony.
Travelling for work? Then you can work in peace at our desk with a comfortable office chair.
The brand new kitchen is very well equipped and has a high table for aperitifs, playing board games or doing a puzzle. This way, the kitchen is always a cosy place to be while you prepare a delicious meal.
There is no shortage of storage space here. We even have a shoe cabinet! So you don't have to trip over your shoes when you come in. The wardrobe in the bedroom is very spacious. There are also plenty of coat hooks for coats and bags.
The beds and duvets are so comfortable that we bought them for ourselves. You will sleep wonderfully here. The bedrooms are also at the back, where you will not be disturbed by traffic. The apartment has double glazing throughout.
This apartment is ideal for families, business travellers or tourists looking for an ideal base from which to discover the most beautiful cities in our country. There are many different restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. Twice a week there is a large farmers' market where you can enjoy a pleasant stroll. There are also several parks with playgrounds and ponds.
We offer underground, secure parking. There is a supermarket in the street (50 metres away) that is also open on Sundays and public holidays. You don't need to buy herbs, sugar or oil, as we provide these.
Are you coming with (small) children? On request, we can provide a cot, a bath, a changing mat and a high chair. We also provide other fun things to keep your children entertained. You won't hear them much!
There is (on most days) a direct bus from the airport to Vilvoorde. The station where you can take the train to Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Mechelen, Leuven, etc. is a ten-minute walk away.
Train to Brussels Central Station: 10-minute walk to the station + 10-minute train ride
Train to Antwerp: 10-minute walk to the station + 35-minute train ride
Train to Mechelen: 10-minute walk to the station + 8-minute train ride
From Vilvoorde, you can take a direct boat to Brussels (via Waterbus and Rivertours). And for those who prefer cycling, there is a cycle highway (Boom-Vilvoorde-Brussels).
Vilvoorde is close to the airport (but you won't be bothered by it, we promise). The E40, Brussels ring road and E19 are also nearby.
And did we mention that Vilvoorde is only 3 hours from Paris, Amsterdam and London? It is located in the heart of Belgium and Europe.
And then there's the neighbourhood. There is a supermarket on the street, which is very convenient. There are also many nice places to eat nearby (tapas bar, poké bowl, sandwich shop, fine restaurants, pizzeria, fast food, etc.).
