Spacious and comfortable open plan accommodation featuring flagstone and pitch pine floors, exposed stone walls, vaulted ceilings with original beams, wood burning stove, huge leather, corner sofa/bed, (seating 6+), and quality furnishings throughout. Situated in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan, (yet only 20 minutes drive from the centre of Cardiff and 10 minutes from the historic market town of Cowbridge), the property is surrounded on all sides by unspoilt countryside. The kitchen/diner and lounge benefit from uninterrupted views for many miles, down the Llancarfan valley and across the Bristol Channel towards Somerset. Excellent walking and riding country and an ideal base from which to explore South and West Wales, The Gower, Brecon, Wye Valley and beyond. The cottage can comfortably sleep 6 persons, (ideally 4 adults plus 2 children), however the substantial bed settee in the lounge offers the possibility to increase sleeping capacity by a further 2 persons if required. The cottage is situated at the edge of Llancarfan, one of the prettiest villages within the Vale with its historic church, (famous for it's recently discovered medieval wall paintings), pretty stream and ford, and its award winning pub; The Fox and Hounds.
