A short drive will take you to many local attractions including Raby Castle, Bowes Museum, High Force, Barnard Castle and Durham Cathedral. A little further afield will take you to the Lake District or the Northumberland Heritage Coastline, or you can simply enjoy the delights from your doorstep. Boasting many period features and stone-built listed buildings, the town is a popular stop-off point for visitors at the base of the Weardale Valley. It also has the Wolsingham Agricultural Show, held every year on the first weekend in September.
