This perfect romantic cottage is situated in a truly away-from-it-all location, where nature really does meet you at the door; the Hardknott Pass is just outside the cottage, as is the River Duddon as it tumbles its way down the valley towards Seathwaite, in the beautiful Lake District National Park. Inside this cosy cottage is an open plan living area with a woodburning stove and superb views out to the surrounding fields and fells, together with a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a double bedroom. Outside there is an enclosed garden and patio, surrounded in every direction by beautiful scenery. Being in the shadows of Harter Fell, Crinkle Craggs and the Scafell massif, this wonderful location is perfect for the serious walker and mountaineer. The tiny hamlet of Seathwaite is 4 miles down the valley where there is a lovely country inn serving delicious food, and the Hardknott Pass leads you over into Eskdale and Wasdale. Broughton-in-Furness is situated in the south western corner of the Lake District and is just six miles from Coniston Water. The village offers a cobbled square, shops and pubs. From Broughton-in-Furness walking and climbing can be enjoyed, plus the Furness railway line runs from nearby Foxfield and makes for an ideal day out.
