Just a few miles from the Scottish Border, between the historic market towns of Longtown and Brampton, it is ideally situated for exploring Hadrian's Wall, the Lake District and Northumberland National Parks, and the Scottish Borders. As you turn through the gates of Kirklinton Hall prepare to be transported to another world. The Pavilion, a two-story residence, is part of the original House, and combines many original and traditional features with the comforts of modern living. Step inside and find yourself in an elegant, well-appointed home. The living/dining room features panelled walls, a traditional stone fireplace and wood burning stove. Stretch out on the luxurious corner sofa and either soak up the silence or catch a film on the smart TV. Rustling up a delicious meal is no problem in the well-equipped kitchen. Alternatively, if you want to eat out you will find some great local pubs and restaurants, including a Michelin star a few miles up the road. The beautiful bedroom is found at the top of the original stone staircase. A romantic French style king-sized bed is complimented by a high-quality mattress and pillows, and luxurious bed linen. Outside you will have access to formal gardens and woodland surrounding the property. Relax in the total tranquillity of the gardens or take a woodland riverside walk, following the tumbling beck until it finally joins a curve of the River Lyne. Longtown is a fantastic base for a holiday as it comes in the centre of four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including Solway Coast AONB, the Northumberland National Park, North Pennines AONB and the Lake District National Park.The local area offers a pleasant range of shops, pubs and restaurants for you to choose from. There are some beautiful places nearby, offering even more places to go and things to do. Brampton and Carlisle are nearby with beautiful buildings. As Longtown is so close to Scotland, it would be rude not to visit Dumfries and Galloway. Edinburgh and Glasgow are just over an hours drive away.
