Kippen lies on the lower slopes of the Gargunnock Hills and affords lovely views to the north across the Forth Valley with the mountain ranges around Ben Ledi and Ben Vorlich forming a spectacular backdrop. The village has a general store/post office, delicatessen, two dog friendly pubs serving food, buildings of historic interest and an attractive network of local footpaths and cycle-ways from which to enjoy the adjoining countryside. The Loch Lomond National Park and tourist town of Callander are within a half-hour drive and Scotland’s only lake, the Lake of Mentieth, can be reached within 10 minutes.
