Wernyfed is 2 miles from Sennybridge, where there are plenty of public houses serving food, cafés and a shop/P.O. For the more adventurous, there is a launch area for your canoes or kayaks just yards from the property, take a paddle from Trallong into Brecon and beyond to Glasbury.
