In 1894, the pioneer rose-growing rector planted roses around every door. This small village is famous for the stunning church Parish of St John the Baptist. Pop into the local pub, a traditional coaching house that has been at the site since 1543. With so much history on offer, the village of Hawkchurch is a hidden gem to discover.
There is plenty to do in the local area. Just a short drive away is the ancient Devon town of Axminster, considered the ‘gateway to the Jurassic Coast’.
