Please note: No children under 12 years old. There is an unfenced river in the grounds. . Cwtch Bee is set in a small privately owned hamlet of cottages, which once belonged to a bigger estate of grounds, that many years ago was farmed by monks. A perfect tranquil location in which to explore some of rural Wales’ countryside and coastlines. The nearest beach is Aberaeron, around 20 minutes away, which also has a pretty harbour and lots of good eateries.

Cwtch Bee is situated in the middle of three cottages made from traditional Welsh slate and stone and originally used to house horses and hay. The Welsh word ’Cwtch’ means cuddle or small space and this cosy cottage is perfect for a relaxing break for two.

As you walk through the front door you will be greeted by a warm and inviting open plan kitchen/living/diner. French doors lead to a private enclosed patio and garden with barbecue and garden furniture, perfect for al fresco dining. In the field beyond the garden, depending on the time of year, you may see the beautiful Welsh Cob horses. Upstairs, in the little loft bedroom, you will find a comfy kingsize wrought iron bed (please note that having been used to originally store hay, the bedroom does have reduced height in places). A spacious bathroom with a freestanding bath affording lovely views and a walk-in shower adds a touch of luxury. For your convenience there is a separate toilet with wash basin.

We love dogs, so you are most welcome to bring your canine companion with you. There are plenty of rural walks, great beaches and dog friendly places nearby, a list of which you will find in your cottage. We provide dog bowls, blankets and towels and a warm welcome for your four-legged family member. Beyond the cottage there are 6 acres of grounds shared with the other guests. A bridge takes you over the river to a picnic area, the perfect place to relax with a drink to the sound of the water flowing.
