Hallagather Farmhouse is a work of time, with parts of the property dating back over 600 years you will find yourself being surprised at every corner, staircase, fireplace and arrow slit. The property boasts large rooms with a spacious kitchen, fully equipped with a large AGA providing warmth, two reception rooms so children can have their own area in which to relax and a large dining room complete with wood burner, traditional fireplace and flagstone floors. Outside there are 2 separate gardens on either side of the house, plenty of seating a BBQ and a fire pit. The farm offers guests the opportunity to relax against a stunning backdrop, whilst being located close to beaches and all the outdoor activities you would expect to enjoy from a holiday in Cornwall. There is a lovely village shop about a 15-minute walk away and a footpath leads down to the beach at Crackington Haven. With Bude to the North and Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac to the South, there are a multitude of destinations to enjoy, including coastal walks, magnificent beaches, cosy country pubs or fine dining restaurants. Accommodation Ground floor: Entry porch leads into the dining room with wood burning stove, slate flagstone floor, feature medieval spiral staircase (blocked) and door leading into the spacious, double aspect kitchen. This is complete with large AGA, separate electric oven and gas hob, fully fitted units and large fridge freezer. Next to the kitchen is the second reception room with another wood burning stove, large flat screen TV and comfortable seating. Another door from the kitchen leads to the back door and also a small utility room. From the dining room, you also access the main reception room with a large fireplace complete with the third wood burning stove, comfortable sofas, many character features and a large flat screen TV with Freeview. A door leads to the staircase; First floor: On the right at the top of stairs is a family bathroom with shower over, WC and hand basin. To the left is the main landing corridor with doors leading to; Bedroom 1 with 5' double and single, vaulted ceiling with Velux window and ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and hand basin. Bedroom 2 with 5' bed and TV. Bedroom 3, which is really a family suite, includes a 5' double bed and two single beds, en suite shower room with hand basin and separate WC. A further door off the main corridor with a very low beam leads down a hallway to bedroom 4 with 4'6" bed, separate shower room with WC and hand basin. Exterior: Parking for 4 cars alongside the property. Two separate gardens on both sides of the house, in the front garden is a set of tables and chairs to seat 8, in the rear garden is a set of tables and chairs to seat 12, a Webber charcoal BBQ and a fire pit. Facilities & Services Heating is via the AGA, night storage heaters and 3 wood burning stoves. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of units. There is an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a clothes airer for drying wet clothes above the AGA. The two reception rooms have flatscreen digital Freeview smart TVs complete with Netflix. There is free superfast WiFi at the property. There is an iron & ironing board. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included. You will need to bring your own beach towels. We regret that no smoking is allowed. Up to 3 well-behaved dogs may stay at the property for the small additional cost of £25 / dog /week. Dogs must not be left unattended in the property. There is off road parking for 4 cars. There is a cot and high chair available upon request. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday. Short breaks are available during the quieter months of the year. £200 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
