It is set back from the road, surrounded by large gardens to the front and rear and with fields on 3 sides making it ideal for children and a perfect rural retreat. The picnic bench and chairs on the large patio at the front of the property, and most of the rooms, have panoramic views towards the sea.
There are several beautiful beaches nearby. Oxwich Bay, which is a 5 minute drive, provides 3 miles of stunning sandy beach, water sports and a castle. You can stop for a drink in the hotel, or dine in The Beach House, a Michelin starred restaurant. The further along the beach you walk, the fewer people there are. At the eastern end of Oxwich Bay is Tor Bay and the iconic Three Cliffs Bay. Behind Westfields is Cefn Bryn, the ridge that runs through the heart of Gower, which offers walkers 360 degree views towards North Devon, the Black Mountains and Carmarthenshire. Westfields is ideally placed for walkers of all abilities to access walks along the Welsh Coastal path and the Gower Way. The property is conveniently situated between the end of the peninsula and the spectacular Rhosilli and Worms Head to the West (10 miles) and Mumbles with independent shopping and great food and drink to the East (8 miles). Next door to the well equipped kitchen is a handy utility room with a fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer. In addition to the main bathroom upstairs there is a shower and toilet downstairs.”
