You are very well placed for exploring all that the area has to offer, while ensuring a peaceful retreat, and there is a bus stop just 2 minutes’ walk away.
Take a walk along the Edwardian Promenade or wide sandy beach at Cromer. Here you will also find a museum, a cinema, a host of traditional seaside attractions and even Amazonia Zoo. Blakeney is nearby perfect for a spot of crabbing or to take a seasonal boat trip out to see the seals. Close by are Wells-next-the-Sea, Norwich Thursford and Muckleburgh Collection, Sheringham Park and Pesthorpe Nature Reserve, the Blickling and Holkham Estates, RSPB Cley Marshes, Bewilderwood. These are all worth a visit and perfect for a busy day out exploring. In between these stunning stop-offs you will find a string of pretty seaside villages boasting a range of beach habitats including shingle, sand, salt marshes and quays.
You can also be in the heart of the Norfolk Broads within 40 minutes too. Here you can hire a day launch or join a tour and meander along these celebrated water ways. Don’t miss a trip to the close by Georgian town of Holt, with its range of boutique and artisan shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. It is both the perfect place to potter and to people watch.
