Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Clean and comfortable with exceptionally friendly staff. Location is excellent. Nice to see Aspall on tap for cider drinkers alongside Landlord for beer drinkers. Much better than the rubbish in common pubs. The bathroom looked newly refurbished with a good shower. The flask of fresh milk in the room to make tea is a wonderful touch. The free wifi is sufficiently fast to actually use.

Negative: The full English breakfast I had on the first morning was a bit mediocre. I couldn't quite but my finger on it but it tasted a bit flat and didn't seem of particularly good quality. While I was very pleased to have fresh milk in the room, the flasks didn't seem to have been thoroughly washed. If one fully disassembled the lids (the sort that you click down to pour), one found it full of caked on rancid milk which smelled terrible despite the milk in the flask itself being fresh.

Summary: Clean and comfortable room with friendly staff, would happily stay there again.
