Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Location was very quiet and rural but that suited us. A basket of goodies were left for us by the hosts, fresh milk, eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, biscuits and a homemade cake as well as tea and coffee. Such a lovely extra was enough for breakfast for the 2 of us for all 3 mornings. The cottage was warm and cosy with 24/7 heating from the Aga and a log fire already laid in the hearth for when the evening got chilly. We visited in November but can imagine the garden is a picture in the summer with plenty of outside seating. We also enjoyed watching the birds on the feeding stations whilst drinking our morning cuppa. Our hounds were also catered for with treats, towels and spare leads. Hosts went above and beyond.

Negative: The kitchen door didn't catch properly to close, as my dogs sleep in the kitchen at night. Fortunately they were good girls and stayed in their beds until I went in, in the morning. Probably because the kitchen was so warm.
