The apartment has three comfortable double bedrooms, two modern bathrooms and a large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area which is ideal for families. The owners love entertaining and are happy for guests to treat the property as a real home from home. There are lots of books and games, excellent music and TV equipment and even a great store cupboard with all sorts of goodies for eating and drinking!
The master bedroom has an elegant solid wood Windsor bed and lovely leather recliner chair, ideal for relaxing. The second double bedroom has some lovely period touches such as wood panelling and a Tiffany style table lamp. The third double bedroom is a very large room and also includes a lounge area with wood burner. The owners use it as an office and games room when they are home.
There are amazing views of the hills from the property and a real sense of space thanks to the ceiling height and refined décor. A rhododendron-lined path leads to the shared walled garden which is divided into eight private spaces and there’s parking for 3 vehicles.

LOCATION
The castle is set within a small hamlet, five miles to the north of Forfar, in the centre of the county of Angus. It has beautiful grounds covering several acres, including lawns, woodland and even a walled garden. The ruins of the earlier castle, built around 1608, are close by and worth exploring, plus a nearby hill is steeped in Pictish history. The countryside here is glorious open farmland and the property has wonderful views over the nearby rolling hills.
Forfar and Brechin are local market towns which offer supermarkets and other amenities. The A90 dual carriageway provides fast and easy road access south to Dundee, and north to Aberdeen.
We can arrange all types of sports and activities during your stay. Fancy river fishing on the North and South Esk, loch fishing at Rescobie or hiking in the Angus glens? Or how about shooting or hunting trips in the fields nearby? There are numerous local golf courses, including Edzell, if you fancy a round. For leisurely family time head for the excellent beaches at St Cyrus and Lunan Bay.
