Summary: Lovely spot before the ferry, room spotless and comfy, bar was great, locals friendly and the braised beef I had was amazing. Only 1 hiccup, I preordered the breakfast for 8am so could leave for the ferry on time , At 8.30 I had to request to takeaway the breakfast and ate it in the car at the ferry port. Probably the worst breakfast I ever had The guy was under pressure I suppose as I didn’t want to miss my ferry. Nice sausage bacon anaemic mushroom like shoe leather. I’d definitely stay here again though but go to Micky D for a muffin.

Summary: We had booked a family room and were pleasantly surprised when this was actually 2 rooms with a private connecting hall with storage space and shower room. Looks like it could be used as separate rooms with shared shower room also. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Reception friendly and a great choice of options for breakfast. We used as a base as were kayaking for 2 days, so didn’t have the opportunity to try the evening meals. Their website did state that they were newer owners and in process of updating. Doing a good job of getting through it from what we saw. Might not suit someone looking for a generic bland chain hotel experience.
