Summary: The Angel hotel is an old pub (coaching inn?) The room decor was in keeping with the style of the building. The bed was comfortable and had tea/coffee in the room. Tv channels limited. The bathroom had a noisy extractor fan and wasnt very well lit. The mirror in the bathroom has a light i couldnt find the switch for and generally too low (unless you're 3ft?). Good water pressure in the shower. Built in 70s style hairdryer- enough said! We had to choose breakfast the night before and tell them what time - fair enough. We both had full English which was ok/average. There was vegetarian alternative and GF bread if needed. Overall an ok stay. No parking but public carpark 5min walk; free after 6pm. Eclectic mix of shops including Co-op and Lidl. Also has small cinema.
