Upper Mill is a lovely, character one bedroom cottage located at Wheel Farm near Combe Martin in North Devon.
The first floor cottage accommodates up to two in one double bedroom and has wonderful countryside views. Whilst staying at the cottage guests can also take advantage of the onsite leisure facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool, a tennis court and extensive grounds featuring woodlands and fields.
Upper Mill was cleverly renovated from the farm's old watermill, meaning it has lots of character for guests to admire, including high vaulted ceilings and other original features.
The cottage has a large open plan living room, which is packed full of character such as a high vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and exposed walls. The living room also has wonderful countryside views thanks to it elevated position. The cottage has a cosy lounge with sofas and TV, as well as a handy wood burning stove, which is great for chilly winter evenings after enjoying a day on Exmoor. Also in the open plan living area in a dining area with table and chairs and a well equipped modern kitchen featuring an oven with hob, a fridge and a dishwasher. The cottage has a good sized double bedroom with views of the pond and local countryside. There is also a bathroom.
Outside there are extensive grounds to explore around the farm, as well as a communal terrace with picnic tables for alfresco dinners.
Upper Mill is ideally located for couples seeking a holiday to get away from the hustle and bustle of the towns and cities. Situated on the outskirts of Combe Martin the cottage is only a short drive from the coastline, as well as Exmoor National Park.
Combe Martin is a pretty town with ample facilities to suit all needs and tastes. There are several good pubs and restaurants in the town, as well as a range of shops. The town also has a nice beach with rock pools and offering a few water sports to visitors. The town is also perfect for walkers with the South West Coast Path easily accessed, from here walk to Headon's Mouth or along to the Victorian town of Ilfracombe.
