The Studio Suite is a wonderfully large, light, suite with incredible views up the hill to the Church and across the Vale of York. This is a spacious suite with over 600 square feet of space, super king size bed, (NEW APRIL 2021) dressing room with stand alone bath and parquet flooring with additional television, en-suite walk-in shower room with L'Occitane products; seating area with sofas, 42" flat screen TV and honesty bar and a private terrace balcony with amazing views south towards York.
The Studio enjoys wonderful views in all directions; across the Vale of York one way, the Howardian Hills and up the hill to Crayke Church. In the Spring the daffodils are amazing.This is a light and very spacious room.
This is our only room that we don’t allow dogs.

The Durham Ox is a traditional 300-year old pub, family owned for the last 25 years. We are situated in the historic village of Crayke, North Yorkshire, with breath-taking views over the vale of York and a charming view up the hill to the medieval Church. Crayke is 25 minutes from York City Centre and in the heart of Herriot Country. The bar area has an original flag stoned floor and oak panels on the walls, as well as the bar fitted by the local woodcarver that bears his name and still takes pride of place. With several roaring fires alight in winter and an outside balcony & courtyard for summer dining the pub oozes atmosphere.
5 of the bedrooms are converted farm buildings. Blue & Green offer a double room with en suite shower room, seating area, tea & coffee making facilities and L'Occitane toiletries. In addition Rose our Large Cottage Suite is spread over two floors with two bedrooms, one super king double and one twin, en suite bathroom & separate shower, relaxed sitting room and butler's pantry. Lavender & Field bedrooms both with super king size beds and bathrooms that have a bath and separate shower. The Studio Suite, located above the pub, offers spacious luxury accommodation with 600sq feet of space, a super king bed, en suite bathroom, sofas, flat screen television, kitchen and honesty bar. If you like the idea of being slightly more independent, yet only a stone's throw from The Ox, Ivy Cottage is an ideal option, with 3 bedrooms it sleeps 6 guests. NEW: 2 bedroom Pool Villa -180 sq metres.
