The villa Bougainvillaea at Domaine St Ferreol offers luxurious family friendly holiday accommodation on an authentic vineyard estate. Located in the heart of the Herault Valley in Languedoc, close to Pezenas (6km) and sunny Mediterranean beaches (25km) there are a wealth of cultural & sporting activities to keep you busy all year round. Dating back to 822 the ancient Domaine lies in a 35 acre estate, surrounded by vineyards with 2 acres of wooded parkland, 1 km of riverbank, a bamboo park & natural water gardens and ponds. The extensive grounds include a large secluded pool (13x6M) which
is set in its own landscaped gardens so plenty of places to relax and unwind. Within the large Park is a shady children's play area which includes a treetop Wendy House, sandpit playhouse ,swings, slide, table tennis and a 12ft trampoline . Le Bougainvillaea has been tastefully restored, retaining many original features & offers a unique blend of traditional Languedoc character with all the luxurious comforts of home.
The light and spacious dual aspect open plan lounge diner with exposed beams looks out on to the Park and is a firm favourite with families with young children. A convenient downstairs wc and shower room is great for little ones coming in from the pool or beach.
A separate kitchen adjoining the lounge includes plenty of work space and includes a full sized hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher as well as plenty of cooking utensils. Upstairs the bright and spacious master bedroom has french doors leading on to a pretty Juliette balcony, The antique furnishings add to the character and charm of this lovely bedroom. A further two twin bedded rooms, both overlooking the Park have exposed beams and original restored stone walls so retain a lot of the original character. A family bathroom includes a bath with integral shower and wc.
Outside you can dine al fresco seated at your garden table with chairs, parasol and BBQ and all overlooking the Park.
Plenty to see and do in the area from relaxing on wide white sandy beaches, to exploring historic buildings, picturesque villages or enjoying the many watersport parks and activities. The colourful village markets every day provide some wonderful fresh produce as well as a wide variety of ceramics, linens, wine tasting and much, much more. A wide variety of restaurants both locally and by the coast provide a huge array of meditterranean treats and in some picture perfect locations.
