Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The hotel overlooks the loch, it has ample free car parking. The staff are very friendly and helpful and advice on local taxis. Helensburgh is a walk away, but we used taxis £9 each way. The cooked breakfast was acceptable. The bar area is roomy with a reasonable selection of drinks.

Negative: The hotel is dated and tatty in places. The rooms and corridors are in need of updating and decorating. However, we enjoyed our 2 night stay, I'm sure that there are worse places to stay in Helensburgh.

Summary: The hotel is okay, comfortable enough, just needs a makeover.
