In Victorian times, Lynton and Lynmouth were fondly known as Little Switzerland. The Rock House makes a great base from which to explore the region’s great walks; along the rugged North Devon coastal path; through woodlands alongside the Lyn River or across the rolling moorlands of Lorna Doone country. Deposits are nonrefundable but held over for 12 months against another booking, pets are allowed on request but must be arranged with the hotel in advance, as not all rooms are suitable, when traveling with pets, please note that an extra charge of £10.00 per pet, per night applies, free private parking on site depending on availabilty. first come, first serve, breakfast will be available at our sister location, the rising sun (a 3-minute walk across the bridge), due to restaurant closure, bar facilities open until early evening, subject to change.
