Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The owner was very friendly and accomodating. We were allowed to leave the key in the key box for checkout as we had to leave very very early to get back home in time. He speaks fluent English, which helps a lot because my french is non existent. I felt safe and wish I could stay longer. If I need to sleep over in the area, I'd consider L'Escale again.

Negative: The house is in an old part of town. Once inside though there was nothing to complain about. Apart from that, I liked everything. I got what I expected for the price I paid.

Summary: Great for a base from where to explore surrounding historical sites, or overnight stay.
