With stunning rural views, in the picturesque Blackdown Hills (AONB), the Annex is an ideal retreat for couples, has been recently refurbished, and is well equipped for you to enjoy your stay (with your dogs if you wish). The Annex is set within 2.5 acres of the owners property, which was originally a farm house, and is surrounded by footpaths to the Hills. Great place for a relaxing or romantic break.
Using your own separate door enter your living space that comprises of a fully furnished kitchen and living area with a wood burner - perfect for cosy evenings.

During your stay at the Annex you will have access to the gardens as well as a private enclosed area for you to enjoy and easily follow social distancing guidance. Within the Annex there are tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge for your groceries.
Living space: Open plan space with wooden floor, TV, wood burner, and radiators. A good sized two seater (also a sofa bed) will ensure you can comfortably watch the TV, the wood burner or the views outside. First basket of logs for the wood burner are complementary.
Kitchen area: Fully fitted kitchen that includes electric oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, etc. The rustic table can provide additional space whilst you cook, seating for two, and can be moved to any area for you to enjoy the views whilst you eat.
Bedroom area: The bedroom is fully furnished with a king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Under floor heating ensures your room is at temperature for you to have the perfect sleep. Hair dryer, ironing board and iron is available for your use. The en-suite shower room includes an electric shower and heated towel rail.
The garden: You will have 2.5 acres to walk around and enjoy. The perimeter has been fenced off so if you bring dogs they are free to roam.
Prior to your arrival we will contact you to explain how to access the keys and can provide other information to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We will endeavour to assist you face to face and if this is not possible we will always be contactable on the phone.
The Annex is just off the A303 therefore with very good road links to explore Devon, Somerset and Dorset. It is close to the River Yarty and the borders of Somerset. The Jurassic Coast and it's beautiful beaches are just a short drive away.
Just over a mile away is the Candlelight Inn, a multi-award winning 17th century traditional country pub. The pub proudly serves locally sourced, seasonal food in a warm and welcoming setting.
As another option, Marsh has a popular public house, the Flintlock Inn.
Yonder Marsh Farm is situated in the small hamlet of Marsh within the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Devon. A car is essential to experience more of the area, unless you are a keen walker or cyclist.
It is close to the River Yarty, the border of Somerset, and is just off the A303 therefore with very good road links. The town of Chard is about 5.5 miles to the East with a wide range of shops and supermarkets and the market town of Honiton lies about 9 miles to the South West. Honiton has excellent amenities, including a number of interesting antique shops and art gallery together with leisure facilities and main line rail link to London (Waterloo). The county town of Taunton is within about 11 miles to the North with a good selection of shopping facilities, the Brewhouse Theatre, motorway access to the M5 via junction 25 and mainline rail link to London (Paddington).
