Summary: Upon checking-in I was informed that the hotel had been sold and was due to close imminently. This was evident throughout the establishment. The accommodation was tired and dated late 60's and uncared for. The bed was reasonably comfortable despite being 2 singles joined together. The restaurant was cold, grubby and lacked any atmosphere. The food was dreadful. A charming young girl rushed around trying to offer a degree of service whilst the "Manager" lacked any interest and kept disappearing which resulted in long waits to be served at the bar. The bar stock was obviously being run down as more than 50% of the taps were empty. Ironically, I had been advised not to stay at Potters Heron: I wish now that the advice had been taken.
