Summary: The Iffley Road location was handy for both Cowley Road and the towpath. It takes a half-hour or so to walk into the city centre and there is a good bus service if you don't fancy walking. Nothing actually wrong with no.192 but this was my first experience of staying at an un-staffed hotel and I've realised what the disadvantages are. * Checking in was frustrating, involving a machine that wasn't very user-friendly * If you're staying for more than one night, you don't get your room cleaned and you can't get fresh towels or more teabags or whatever * You can't easily report any issues - in our case, a leaking sink slowly flooding the bathroom floor * It doesn't feel as safe - there was a guy hanging around on the landing outside our room very late at night. I reported the sink via email after we left and got a promise they'll look into it. But I don't think I'd choose to stay in a hotel with no reception desk or staff again.
