Positive: Every member of staff I met was friendly and helpful, particularly the ladies on reception. I stayed in a beautifully refurbished room, which was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was well cooked and presented, and served in the lovely garden room. The setting and grounds are beautiful - it makes for a really relaxing place to stay.

Negative: It didn't matter to me, but there are no restaurant and bar facilities on site in the evening. However the hotel information pack helpfully lists restaurants and taxi services. There is a good choice of places only a few minutes drive away.

Summary: Perfect choice for a stay - much better value than a chain hotel
