Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The ground floor flat is easily accessible, and located a few steps from the Haymarket station. An easy walk both to Old and New Town, to the Walk of Leith, to the Modern art galleries, to buses and train connections. Very convenient for our purposes. Plenty of good restaurants and shops in the area.

Negative: We managed to avoid the hefty surcharge for a late check-in (40 pounds after 10 pm, read the fine print) but we had to wait for the person in charge of opening the flat. Explanations were cursory to say the least. The bedroom is quite comfortable, the kitchen is well provided but without a table, and the sitting room is grandiose with two sofas. The bathroom is really tiny, and the basin is smaller than an A4 paper sheet. The area is very quiet at night, during the day you can hear the nursery nearby, which did not bother us, but there can be quite some screaming. Good wifi.

Summary: Comfortable base to visit new Town and relax.
