The chalet offers secure off-street parking and although a car is useful in Chamonix, the chalet's ideal position means you only have to walk 150 metres via a small path (Close des Outannes) to the frequent bus service which services all the main ski areas (free to ski pass holders) or to the Mont Blanc Express which runs all the way from St Gervais through the Chamonix valley on to Martigny in Switzerland. The main pedestrian street in Chamonix, hosting bars, shops and restaurants, is just 5 minutes flat walk from your front door. Equally, in the other direction you are just minutes away from the Gaillands outdoor climbing crag for summer visitors. Les Pecles, from which Chalet Pickles gets its name, is one of the most beautiful, peaceful locations in Chamonix.
