Hike up the renowned Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the British Isles, or enjoy a more leisurely stroll through the Highland Titles Nature Reserve. Port Appin is a lovely beach hamlet with several neighbouring attractions. It's a heaven for outdoor enthusiasts, with wonderful hikes, bike trails, and watersports. The community has two award-winning hotels, a supermarket/post office, a bicycle rental business, and jetty fishing. From the modest jetty, a short ferry trip will take you over the Lynn of Lorn to Lismore, the most accessible of the Argyll islands. Oban, to the south, and Fort William, with Britain's tallest peak, Ben Nevis, are well worth a visit.
