Summary: We would feel better about the apartment itself if we were not unhappy about the stairs and the street work being done around the clock during our visit. It's a lovely, spacious apartment, and as others have noted the coffee service and shower are excellent. The location was perfect, near to the museums with lots of options for eating out or shopping to dine in. We wrote to enquire about stairs, since my wife has limited mobility. Neal answered that the apartment is on the first floor, thus only one stair to climb. It was my mistake to interpret first floor as ground floor, as it means to an American, and to take one stair literally. There are in fact two sets of stairs. The second, steep one was difficult to navigate with a cane. During the week of our visit the streets were torn up, at one point using the property's front steps as staging ground. When we wrote to Neal, he answered that our note was the first he'd jeard of it. He offered to refund us if we chose to relocate, but it was too late to change without adding significant cost to the trip. Neal was communicative and helpful. But it would be nice to provide instructions for things like the washer, the microwave, where to put garbage and recycling, etc., so we didn't feel bothersome with constant text messages. Unfortunately, these minor complaints were amplified by our unhappiness with the stairs and street work, making for a less than perfect stay in an otherwise lovely space and perfect location.
