Cockermouth, a charming market town, is the birthplace of William Wordsworth, where you can visit Wordsworth House on Main Street and then take a stroll through town with an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Cumbrian coastline to Silloth is worth a visit for its sand dunes and long promenade.
