Hadrian's Wall is just a 25 minute drive away and the National Trust's ancient woodlands at Allen Banks are within 10 miles. Isaac’s Cottage is on a farm, surrounded by fields, and there’s even the option of fishing in the nearby river. The area is perfect for cycling and walking with many paths and trails right on the doorstep. Nearby Allendale is just 5 miles away and has a some good pubs, cafes and craft shops. Visit over New Year and experience the amazing Fire Festival where barrels of burning tar are carried through the village. The market town of Hexham, with a great selection of shops and restaurants is nearby.
