Summary: Although the layout and proximity to the town were as described we had a number of issues with the property & its description / lack of transparency on the website. The hosts seemed pleasant,non English speakers Would say the property is somewhat tired. Just over 24hrs before arrival we were informed a 25 euro cash charge would be made on arrival if we required bedding & towels, as we were already in France we had no option but to agree (they were not of very high quality)- this should have be stated when we booked. When we arrived we were told that if we weren’t prepared to clean the property on our departure this would be another cash charge of 25 euros – we declined. We left the property much cleaner than when we arrived! The freezer hadn’t been defrosted or cleaned for sometime – we chose not to use it. Lots of dust but worse was the shower. This began to overflow when first used, on inspection the drainaway was blocked with probably a year’s worth of hair, soap & goodness knows what else. Absolutely disgusting & unhygienic! The property was advertised as having a communal pool, one of the reasons why we selected it. The communal pool was the municipal pool with paid entrance at least a 10min walk away! Having read previous comments we can only assume the hosts have let their standards drop, although this does not account for the misrepresentation. All this was conveyed to Vrbo with photos & they have dealt with it, although website doesn’t seem to have been changed.
