Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The hotel was very conveniently located for our trip. It was easy to find with good free parking facilities on site. Although we did not need to make use of the breakfast facilities as we had other arrangements, a good breakfast was available. The hotel and town have a rich history, and brochures were available with details and an audio tour. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. Our room's door handle was loose and after we informed staff a repair was made very quickly. The beds were very comfortable, the room and bathroom clean, the shower water was instantly hot and the towels dried well. Tea and coffee were available in the room.

Negative: Realistically, there was nothing we didn't like. However, we visited during the winter, during a very cold, snowy period in the Netherlands and we found the room very draughty. Considering the building's age was to be expected. We managed this by closing the window blinds, and tucking the curtains closed around the window openings. The heating in the room was more than adequate to compensate so it was not a problem in the end. It would have been nice if the teabag and coffee pod supply were refreshed each day.
