Situated in the medieval hill top village of Glynogwr with panoramic views overlooking the Ogwr Fach Valley, it is ideally located for visitors to experience numerous local outdoor activities or sample the excitement of the city of Cardiff. At the heart of the village is the church of St Tyfodwg named after the 6th century Welsh Saint. Glynogwr Lodge looks out over the Earls of Dunraven estates, Mynydd-y-Gaer (Wyndham-Quin families of Dunraven Castle). Mynydd-y-Gaer is said by some people to be the burial place of King Arthur, at the now ruined church of St.Peters-Super-montem. (Read, David Nash Fords, Early British Kings).
