Finest Retreats are pleased to offer The Old Hall Annexe, a well presented two-bedroom home which forms the north wing of Barford Old Hall, former home of Lord and Lady Mackintosh (of Quality Street fame).
The annexe provides a comfortable and pleasant stay with beautiful views of the gardens and grounds, and shared use of the outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and access to three acres including a small wood.
Formerly the cook’s accommodation for the adjoining Old Hall, the annexe was built in the 1950s and has its own private entrance and parking. The character features of the property provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, complimented by modern amenities including a newly installed well-equipped kitchen, LED TV, Wi-Fi and central heating.
The annexe can accommodate up to four guests over two bedrooms, one double bedroom and a further twin room. Along the hallway a family bathroom with overhead shower, bath, basin and WC.
The village of Barford is conveniently situated just 8 miles from the centre of Norwich and 6 miles to the historic market town of Wymondham with its abbey and steam railway. The Norfolk Broads are a mere 30 minutes away and the stunning North Norfolk coast not much further.
The tennis court and outdoor swimming pool (open June-September) are in the grounds of the Old Hall and shared between the guests of three properties onsite. Guests are welcome to use both the tennis court and pool during their stay. Please ensure children and non-swimmers are not left unattended when using the facilities as no lifeguard is in operation at the pool.
