Hebden Bridge, is nestled in the heart of Calder (or "Happy") Valley and makes a great place to base yourself for exploring the South Pennines You will be close to a number of scenic walks and drives. Haworth and Bronte country is close by as is the National Trusts Hardcastle Craggs. Halifax is just 20 minutes away. Being on the rail network you can be in Manchester or Leeds in 30 or 40 minutes.
You will have private use of this two floor, one bedroom colourful artists home. With an electric maximalist style, the house features hand painted, tiled and decoupaged murals and furniture and a curated collection of artwork, ceramics and tribal wood carvings.
The ground floor is an open plan kitchen/living/dining space with an Arts and Crafts aesthetic in hues of Olive and Sage. The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a kettle, a coffee machine and microwave. The 2 seater sofa contains a fold out bed with mattress and quilt. There is a log burning fire, a television with firestick and a Bluetooth Sonos Move sound system.
A stairway with a gallery wall and Italian Banana leaf wallpaper leads to the first floor. Leading off of the rich Olive and painted wood floored landing, are the bedroom and bathroom
The bedroom is decorated in a Chinoiserie style with Oriental screens and hand painted wall mural and ornamental fireplace frieze. Theres is a comfortable and double bed, large wardrobe, cocktail chair and TV with fire stick
The bathroom has a toilet, sink, bath and attached shower. The decor has evolved
into a piece of dream-like mystical art of its own over time and deserves thoughtful contemplation whilst taking your ablutions. Essential Toiletries and towels are included to make your stay more enjoyable.
