This cozy detached cottage is located on a small-scale park in Herkingen, directly behind the embankment of the Grevelingen. The beach of Herkingen on the Grevelingenmeer is just a 2-minute walk away. This is the largest saltwater lake in Europe and lies between South Holland and Zeeland.
The cottage is tastefully decorated. Double doors to the garden, living room with fireplace and the dining area overlooking the garden, which offers a lot of privacy.
Also on the ground floor is the bathroom with shower and toilet, a bedroom with double bed and an extra room with cupboard space. A baby bed can possibly be placed here.
The cottage has a surprising open loft with a double bed and seating.
Around the cottage is a spacious fenced garden with 1 private parking space. There is plenty of privacy, sun and shade here. The place to relax on balmy evenings. Fire pit, a good glass of wine and a nice breakfast at the picnic table the next morning.

Close to the park is the marina with a restaurant. The fresh bakery, supermarket and water sports shop are also within walking distance.

The beautifully wide North Sea beach is only 20 minutes away. The Zeeland Zierikzee, Oosterscheldekering Neeltje Jans, Middelburg and Ouddorp are certainly worth a visit!
Herkingen is located in a beautiful nature reserve where you can cycle and walk endlessly. Horses and cattle graze on the Slikken van Flakkee. Seals are often spotted, just like beautiful birds like the spoonbill. Every year flamingos come to winter between Herkingen and Battenoord!
