Positive: The apartment had a nice exterior where you could sit during the day but not after dusk as there were mosquitoes. It had a functioning dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine etc but very few supplies for these. The showers room was very nice. The gardens were very nice and the swimming pool was good and kept very clean.

Negative: Firstly, this is not a ‘cottage’ nor is it standalone. It is a very small apartment fixed to the main house where the host family live. There are two other rented out places so the pool is definitely not private as advertised. The apartment is also not that comfortable and as you have to sit inside in the evening with the windows closed, it wasn’t that relaxing as the sofa is small. The dining area is very small as kitchen, dining and seating area are all in a small room. There were no views as the outside area closes off the sun and you feel shut in. It was expensive for what it was and added to that at the last minute we were asked for 300 euros cash deposit for damages which we were allowed to pay by bank transfer. We did get this back but lost money in the transfer as we are English and we didn’t need a lot of cash.

Summary: Disappointed.
