Picturesque historical dutch villages along famous rivers like Vecht, Gein and Amstel are within cycling distance. Baambrugge, Abcoude, Ouderkerk, Vreeland, Loenen and Breukelen are a few to mention where you can go for shopping. Holland's most famous organic farm shop is 4 km away. Many restaurants and bars for any kind of budget are nearby.
The water in the lake is very clear and clean (one of the cleanest in Holland). Great for swimming, sailing, fishing and even diving, and all other kinds of water sports. Boat and other water sports gear rental places are nearby. A beautiful lakes nature reserve is around the corner, `Botshol`. A recommendation for nature lovers who like walking or packing a picnic basket and rent a rowing boat.
The hotel 'De Lokeend' right next to the park is open for à la carte lunch and dinner. If you wish, you can also enjoy a breakfast buffet there, but only per reservation. Please contact Rental Valley to make the reservation.
## Transit
It is possible to travel to Vinkeveen by public transport, but we recommend travelling by car for your convenience and time efficiency.
From Schiphol Airport it takes about 20 minutes to get to the accommodation by car and 90 by public transport. The closest bus stop is 800 meters away, from where you can get to Amsterdam Central in 40 minutes. The closest train station Abcoude is 5 km away. We will share a handy website to plan your route!
